The 2018 session of the Nebraska Legislature adjourned this week without passing any type of property tax relief. A number of bills, including one from the Governor were debated, but none could find the votes needed.

Brieses bill would have raised the sales tax, with that money shifted to offset some property taxes.
A petition drive is underway to put a property tax cut proposal on the November ballot.
