October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Nebraska State Patrol is doing their part to raise awareness and money for research and treatment.
Nebraska State Patrol Spokesman Cody Thomas says it’s a nationwide effort where law enforcement can unite communities to fight this deadly disease.
About a dozen other law enforcement agencies in Nebraska are taking part in the project. The public can also get involved by purchasing one of the Nebraska State Patrol’s pink patches with all proceeds going to cancer research and treatment.
