The Nebraska State Patrol has a program that can help people know what to do in the event of an active shooter situation. Spokesperson Cody Thomas says troopers in the “Civilian Response to Active Killer Events Program” offers training so residents know exactly what to do to stay safe.
Thomas says they have instructors across the state available to provide this free training.
Organizations, schools and businesses interested in the training can contact their local troop office for details.
