Nebraska State Patrol troopers who helped rush vital medication to a children’s hospital in Colorado have been honored by the governor.
Patrol superintendent John Bolduc says troopers relayed the medication the evening of May 29th from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha to North Platte, where medical transport waited to fly it to Denver. . .
Lt. Matt Sutter says a young life was in the balance.
Sutter says he was only told the medication was to treat a child suffering from a brain-cell eating amoeba and that time was of the essence.
