The Nebraska State Fair opens its 11 day run in Grand Island today and goes through Labor day.  State Fair Executive Director Joseph McDermott says they have a new building opening on the fairgrounds this year with exhibits by the University of Nebraska and the State Game and Parks.

He says the other exhibit by the State Game and Parks features a 6500 gallon aquarium and a shooting sports display. McDermott says both their 4H and FFA participation will match past year’s levels.

McDermott says ticket sales for their entertainment is going well and he expects sell outs for their headliners featuring Ventriloquist Terry Fader and Country Music Star Brantley Gilbert.

McDermott says entertainment and other fair information is available at their web site. (statefair.org).
