Freezing drizzle made a mess of road conditions in western Nebraska this morning. National Weather Service – Omaha Meteorologist Becky Kern there were several accidents on I-80 due to icy conditions. Fog was another weather issue in several areas of the state. Kern says by mid to late week an arctic air mass will target Nebraska.
Kern says the good news is that there is no snowfall on the horizon.
Kern says by mid to late week highs will be in the teens and drop to the single digits at night. Combine that with the wind chill factor we can expect lows between five and fifteen degrees below zero.
