Nebraska State Treasurer Don Stenberg says a special savings program for the disabled will be operational by the summer.
ABLE stands for Achieving a Better Life Experience. It provides savings to be accumulated tax free if used for qualified disability-related expenses.

Stenberg says First National Bank of Omaha will manage the ABLE program. . .

The legislature created the program this year.
