The Nebraska Sorghum Producer’s Association and Grain Sorghum Board are hosting a virtual meeting on June 7. Association and Board Executive Director Nate Blum says it’s a United Nations Food Systems Dialogue meeting.

He says the UN’s Food Systems Summit has tentatively been set for September in New York City and they hope to take some of the information they gather at the dialogue and share it with that group. Blum says the UN has been focused on ag sustainability and several Nebraska ag groups have already been implementing those practices.

Blum says Nebraska’s farmers and ranchers have done a great job with their conservation practices and sustainability and are in a position to share that on a global perspective with their dialogue meeting next month and the UN Summit this fall.

Blum says more information on their independent dialogue summit can be found on the Nebraska Grain Sorghum Board’s website
