Nebraska Senators Reach Grand Compromise

Nebraska legislators reached a “grand compromise” on property tax relief and business incentives in a big step toward adjournment next week.

Briese says part of any additional revenue increases the state gets will go to the property tax relief fund..

The bill passed on a vote of forty-three to two and Briese says he believes that support will hold through the final two rounds of approval. The legislature is scheduled to adjourn by Thursday.
