A state senator called on Senator Ernie Chambers of Omaha to clarify his controversial statements about the police.
Senator Bill Kintner of Papillion says he believes he understands the point Chambers was trying to make during a Judiciary Committee hearing…and asks Chambers to clear up any misunderstandings during legislative floor debate. . .

Chambers flatly rejected the call of Senator Beau McCoy to resign…a call joined by several senators who criticize Chambers for his remarks comparing the police to ISIS. Chambers returns fire.

Chambers refuses to apologize.
