Nebraska State Senator John Murante of Gretna is pressing the issue of voter ID at the polls and introduced a resolution that would amend the state’s constitution. He says there is always some opposition to the voter ID regulations but for the most part polling shows that Democrats, Republicans and Independents all agree it is a good idea.
Murante introduced that resolution as a way to help restore voter confidence.
If the resolution passes the issue would appear on the 2018 November ballot.
