Nebraska Senator Mike Johanns says Washington can be frustrating at times, especially in the current political climate.
Johanns, a Republican, is leaving the Senate…and 32 years of public service at all levels of government. Johanns says there is an absence of will in Washington to address problems. He points to his work with the so-called Gang of Eight, which proposed a way to tackle the trillion dollar annual deficits.

Johanns, a Republican, says the resiliency of the American people is nothing short of remarkable.

Johanns says the nation faces a host of problems Congress needs to address, such as deficit reduction, immigration reform, tax reform, and entitlement reform.
