Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse will be leaving the Senate at the end of the week to become President of the University of Florida.
He gave his farewell speech on the Senate floor Tuesday……
Sasse says he has had a mixed relationship with Nebraska voters….
Sasse told his fellow Senators that their institution should be honored and saved…..
Incoming Governor Jim Pillen will appoint a successor to Sasse next week, widely expected to be outgoing Governor Pete Ricketts.
