Nebraska Senate Overrides Vetoes

Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman recently vetoed sixty five million dollars of general fund spending that had been approved by the legislature. Senators later over rode a number of the vetoes, restoring about sixty one million dollars to the budget.

The Governor said legislators should apply most of what he vetoed to cutting property taxes. Larson says he agrees with that direction…
