Nebraska Sees Surge in Voter Registration

There has been a surge of voter registration in Nebraska, exceeding even the optimistic projections of Secretary of State John Gale.

Gale reports voter registration hovered at around 1-Million, 140-Thousand late last year. It now is pushing toward 1-Million, 200-Thousand. . .

Gale says the percentage of registered voters who actually cast ballots isn’t the point…the actual number of voters does. . .

Gale is hoping that a surge in voter registration will translate into an increase in voter turnout.
