As more schools move in and out of remote learning due to the pandemic, they need more electronic devices to connect to the internet. The State of Nebraska has set aside over twelve million dollars from the Governors Education Emergency Relief fund for technology.

Nebraska Department of Education Commissioner Matt Blomstedt says that need came to light last spring….

Bloomstedt says they did a survey to find out what is needed…

Blomstedt says the winter could be another challenging time for schools..

The department also reached out to homeschool families and is offering a credit of up to four hundred dollars per electronic device.
