Nebraska Schools Get Their Report Cards

Nebraska school districts got their updated student achievement scores in the last couple of week from the new assessment testing.

Hartington-Newcastle School Superintendent A.J. Johnson says this years tests can’t be directly compared to last years scores….

The Hartington-Newcastle results show the percentage of students meeting expectations in English was sixty one percent, in math forty three percent and in science, fifty two percent.

Johnson says the baseline scoring changed from one year to the next….

Johnson says the Covid school year was not figured in the state scoring….

Johnson says it will take a few years of the new testing to see the real learning trends.
