The Nebraska Public Service Commission has voted to approve the mainline alternative route for the Keystone XL crude oil pipeline.
Commissioner Chrystal Rhodes said she opposed the chosen route…..
Rhodes says they have seen no evidence that the pipeline would have any positive economic benefit for the state……
No other commissioner spoke, and no public comment was allowed. The vote to approve the alternate route passed on a three to two vote.
Opponents of the pipeline have promised to take the decision to court.
Trans Canada, the pipeline developer, has said they will not decide until next month if they have enough shippers to make the project feasible.
