The debate in Nebraska over property tax cuts is being tied to state aid to education.

Briese says he supported the budget this year, but wants to see changes next year……
A property tax cut bill supported by Governor Pete Ricketts failed in this year’s session. A petition drive is underway to put a major property tax cut on the November ballot.
