The University of Nebraska – Lincoln Extension recently completed their 19th annual Rural Poll and a portion of that includes employment statistics. Community and Economic Development Specialist Cheryl Burkhart-Kriesel says it shows Nebraskans are not afraid of hard work.

Burkhart-Kriesel says a new Nebraska and national trend is they are seeing more self employed individuals. She says the Rural Poll shows 7 out of 10 people would like to be self employed.

Burkhart-Kriesel the report also shows that Nebraskans are hard workers. She says 92% of Nebraska households have one full time job, 44% have two full time jobs, 3% manage three full time jobs and 1% four full time jobs.
