Today’s Nebraska Supreme Court split decision in the Keystone XL Pipeline routing case still leaves many questions. One of the Attorneys for the landowners who challenged the routing law, Brian Jorde of Domina law firm says because four justices found the state law unconstitutional, the whole legal process begins again with different landowners.
Jorde says their next move is to file another case challenging the state law and pipeline route.
Jorde says the Supreme Court’s ruling is not a positive one for Trans Canada the company that wants to build the pipeline.
Jorde says today’s Supreme Court ruling determined that there are better landowners suited to bring the case. He says his firm represents over 100 landowners affected by the proposed project.
