Nebraska farmers and ranchers can get questions answered regarding their specific operation through the Nebraska On-Farm Network. University of Nebraska – Lincoln Extension Educator Laura Thompson says it has been around since 1989 and is designed to assist farmers in several ways.

Thompson says farmers can start by contacting their local extension office and that person will work with them to set up a research question.

The Network also has an online database that contains the results of about 800 past research projects. Thompson says they also hold yearly meetings to present the results of recent research projects and she encourages farmers to attend. Thompson says these meetings include a high level of interaction and provides an opportunity for farmers to network. For more details contact your local UNL extension office.
