A Nebraska National Guard helicopter crew delivered 10 round hay bales to cattle stranded by the recent devastating flood near Richland in rural Colfax County. Rancher Drew Wolfe was the recipient of that donation. He says the flood kept them from getting feed to their cattle.
He thanked the National Guard members who delivered the hay to his cattle.
Wolfe says it’ll take a lot of time to recover from the flooding and that he’s overwhelmed by all the help he’s received from all over.
Nebraska National Guard Chief Warrant Officer Jeff Caniglia said the mission was critical considering that Nebraska’s farmers are the lifeblood of Nebraska. Anyone needing assistance should go through their local emergency manager. An interactive list of all local emergency managers can be found under the 2019 Flood Dashboard button the NEMA website.
