Nebraska Medicaid Expansion Offers Short Term Hope

Nebraska Medicaid Expansion Offers Short Term Hope

A Nebraska resident who voluntarily reduced her hours to care for an aging parent says if the legislature refuses to expand Medicaid she will have to declare bankruptcy.
Sarah Parker of Lincoln says she needed to do less at work to devote more time to caring for her aging father. She lost health insurance when she reduced her hours. . .

Parker says she’s willing to help offset the cost of Medicaid expansion. . .

Supporters of Medicaid expansion contend it would cover an additional 77-Thousand Nebraskans…and the federal government has promised to pay almost all of the cost.
