It has been more than a week since Nebraskans cast ballots in the General Election, but local and state election offices remain hard at work with final counts. Deputy Secretary of State of Elections Wayne Benasays the deadline is approaching.

Bena says at that time recounts will be conducted in tight races if needed.

Bena says the final counts continue. In Douglas County will be releasing their results later this week on the provisional ballots, the last to be counted. He says they will have a better idea of some tight races after that.
