A move to give the legislature more data to better evaluate Nebraska’s top economic recruitment tool advances in the Unicameral, but not until it was watered down.
Senator John Kuehn of Heartwell…chair of the Legislative Performance Audit Committee…says his measure would require detailed information on jobs created and benefits offered by companies which receive tax breaks from the Nebraska Advantage Act.
Senator John McCollister of Omaha also supports the bill. . .
The measure got watered down, though, after several senators complained the added requirements on companies would be too burdensome.
