Nebraska became the seventeenth state to officially call for a Constitutional Convention by approving a resolution for one last week.

The resolutions sponsor, Senator Steve Halloran of Hastings, says it is the way for states to exert their rights….

The resolution was approved on a vote of thirty-two to eleven.
Thirty-four states have to approve the resolution before a convention could be called.
