Nebraska Legislative Committee Considers Energy Use

An interim committee of the Nebraska Legislature will look at the impacts of climate change and energy use.
Senator Tyson Larson of O’Neill will chair the committee, and says its more about smart energy use……

The legislature this year passed the PACE bill, or Property Assessed Clean Energy bill that would attempt to address lagging energy efficiency.
Larson says that would help people pay for energy improvements to their homes…..

Larson says he would like to see that program extended to rural areas…..

Larson says the committee will hold several meetings this fall, beginning in September.
