Nebraskans with strong ties to agriculture and wanting to pursue leadership development opportunities may want to check out the Nebraska Leadership and Education Action Development, or LEAD program.  Nominations are now being accepted for the 41st class which will begin in September.  Dr. Terry Hejny (Haney) serves as the executive director and says the leadership program is a two-year commitment.

Hejny says the LEAD program focuses on agricultural marketing and policy, both with domestic and international issues.

The LEAD official says the program seeks those individuals with a passion and commitment for Nebraska agriculture.

Nominations are due by June 15th and can be directed to the Nebraska LEAD program at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
