A Nebraska legislative committee has approved a revamped property tax relief bill and sent it to the full legislature for debate as the session winds to a close.
The measure would add 29-Million dollars in property tax relief aimed specifically at agricultural land.
Former state Senator Bob Wickersham cautions Revenue Committee members from assuming their work on tax relief is over. . .

Bruce Bohrer, speaking for the state Chamber of Commerce as well as the chambers in Omaha and Lincoln, calls the measure preferential treatment. . .

The legislature will debate property taxes next week with little time left in the session.
