Nebraska Lawmakers Protect Craft Brewers

Craft brewers won a battle in the Nebraska Unicameral, but the war continues.
State lawmakers approved an amendment by Senator Carol Blood of Bellevue that continues their exemption from having to ship their beer to a distributor’s warehouse before it goes to a bar, restaurant, or store. . .

Yet, Senator Tyson Larson of O’Neill says the body has created a gray area, because state law requires all beer to go to a warehouse first. . .

The rule hasn’t gone into effect yet…and might not. But Larson warns that if it does to expect a lawsuit.
