State lawmakers have decided against taking 100-Thousand dollars from the Nebraska Brand Committee to help shore up a revenue shortfall in the state budget.
Legislators passed an amendment to restore the money to the brand committee.
Senator Dan Hughes of Venango argues the move recommended by the Appropriations Committee wouldn’t help the state that much, but would devastate the brand committee.
