Nebraska lawmakers held meetings over the weekend to address the lack of tax plan that includes property and income tax relief as the session comes to a close. Platte Institute CEO Jim Vokal says rushed meetings often end with a bad product.
Vokal says it’s time to go back to square one.
Vokal says with no bills approved a ballot initiative is the next step. He recommends that Nebraskans consider it carefully as it is a multi-piece puzzle and all the pieces must fit.
