Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts got his property tax relief package as lawmakers completed their work on it, passing the second half of the package.
Not everyone was happy with the result.
Senator Al Davis of Hyannis says the bill, which delivers 20-Million dollars in property tax credits to agriculture, doesn’t do enough. . .
Davis complains that lawmakers stripped from the bill provisions restricting community college revenue growth…and that community colleges haven’t received the message sent by the legislature.
The bill passed 47-to-1. Lawmakers the day before approved the educational portion of the package.
