Nebraska lawmakers have unanimously approved LB 977 which defines and clarifies weight and load limitations for agricultural equipment on state roads and highways. State Cattlemen’s Association Legislative Director Laura Field says it was one of her group’s priority measures. She says the bill provides certainty producers can do their jobs legally, while still maintaining the state’s roads.

She says its good common sense legislation that will pave the way for more efficient agricultural vehicle transport.

Field says the timing of the measure’s passage is good and it will go into effect as soon as the Governor signs it.

Field says LB 977 provides more clarity and certainty for both agricultural producers and law enforcement agencies.
