Martell area Nebraska rancher Randy Thompson who’s been battling the Keystone XL pipeline for several years is pleased the President has turned down Trans Canada’s permit request for the Keystone XL pipeline. He says the President could see major environmental problems with the pipeline had the project been allowed to go forward.
Thompson says he’s relieved for the time being but knows things could change in the future.

The President’s permit reject comes just ahead of the Paris climate change talks.
