A Judge earlier halted TransCanada’s work in the Keystone XL Oil Pipeline pending and environmental review. Now Trans Canada wants to be allowed to do some pre-construction work. Neligh, Nebraska landowner and pipeline opponent Art Tanderup says that shouldn’t be allowed.
He says what TransCanada is attempting to do is more than what should be considered pre-construction.
Tanderup says the recent report out on climate change took a dim view at tar sands oil production. He says it clearly showed tar sands are having negative impacts on the climate.
TransCanada’s attorneys say they are considering appealing the earlier decision by the Judge that halted the project pending an environmental analysis.
