The head of the Nebraska Department of Insurance is disappointed Blue Cross Blue Shield is leaving the state’s health care exchange, but Bruce Ramge says he understands the business decision.
He wants Nebraskans to start shopping as soon as open enrollment begins November 1st, because Blue Cross and United Health Care coverage are both going away.

Ramge (RAM-jee) agrees there is plenty of room for improvement.

Ramge says Aetna and Medica are the only providers offering coverage to Nebraskans through the federal marketplace.
