This could be big for Nebraska. The state is one of several in the running for a multi-million dollar Toyota-Mazda auto assembly plant that would employ thousands of people. Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce CEO David Brown says officials statewide have joined efforts to work on this project.

Brown says this would be a huge economic boost to the state and would create more than 4,000 jobs – and that is just at the plant itself.

Brown says Team Toyota was put together by Governor Ricketts. A number of city and state economic developments are working on site searches and trying to meet the criteria that Toyota requires. Brown says they are doing what it takes to land this plant in Nebraska.
