Nebraska will be in the right place at the right time on August 21, 2017. The state is in the direct path of a total solar eclipse and state officials are getting ready to celebrate. Lora Young is the executive director of the Beatrice Chamber of Commerce and says a stretch is in the path for a total eclipse.

Young says the group consists of ten community tourism organizations that will be working hard to promote the eclipse.

Young says this is more than just a local event and she has received calls from people from all over the world interested in coming to Nebraska for the eclipse.
