The U.S. House of Representatives has passed the SAFE Banking Act. That measure allows the Cannabis Industry access to banks. Nebraska Hemp Association President Bill Achord says that’s positive and will be very helpful for CBD oil that comes from Hemp.

He says they’ll be talking to Senators about passing the SAFE Banking Act when it comes up in the Senate.

Achord says besides the banking access, the next step the hemp industry needs is developing of processing for the crop.

Achord says his group is working with those smaller processors in helping them get started. A vote on the SAFE Banking Act could come up in the Senate sometime this month.
