This Thursday in Kansas City the Environmental Protection Agency will hold a public hearing on their proposed RFS rule for 2017. Nebraska Ethanol Board Administrator Todd Sneller says his state’s Governor, Pete Ricketts, will be one of those testifying to encourage the EPA to boost the mandated levels to the statutory requirements.

He says the EPA needs to propose RFS levels that allow the biofuels market to operate efficiently and effectively.

Sneller says the EPA needs to quit blocking the biofuels industry from doing its job and being able to invest and move forward a solid energy policy for the country.

Sneller says besides Governor Ricketts, other Nebraska ethanol officials and producers will be in attendance at the hearing.
