Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts announced Monday he’ll be leading a trade mission to Mexico in August. He says Mexico is an important market for U.S. agriculture.
He’s optimistic about U.S. negotiators being able to craft a positive renewed agreement with Mexico and Canada in the NAFTA discussions.
Ricketts says any Nebraskan wanting to join them on the August trade trip should contact the Nebraska Department of Agriculture.
Other areas Nebraska officials have been working to expand their market opportunities include in Africa, Singapore and the European Union.
