Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts is pleased with the agreement his administration and the legislature reached on the revised state budget.
The legislature has given tentative approval to taking more than 90-Million dollars from cash reserves to fund three major capital improvement projects. . .

The largest transfer, 50-Million dollars, will create an infrastructure bank to pay for road and economic development projects.

Appropriations Committee Chairman, Heath Mello of Omaha, says he felt more comfortable with the lower number to create the bank. . .

Legislators have also approved using cash reserves to expand prison space and upgrade the Missouri River levee protecting Offutt Air Force Base.
