Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts is gathering outside support for his revised tax cut proposal in the hope it pressures the Unicameral to pass it.
Ricketts has won endorsements from state and local chambers of commerce as well as the Nebraska Farm Bureau.
Ricketts points out his new plan leaves the property tax relief fund in place, adding property tax relief on top of it. . .
Ricketts says the legislature eventually needs to address the school funding formula and its heavy reliance on the property tax. . .
Property tax cuts combined with a cut to the top corporate tax rate would total 650-Million dollars once fully implemented by 2030.
