Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts will likely face a primary challenger in May.
Krystal Gabel says she’s running a grassroots campaign based on government transparency, prison reform, and job creation.

Gabel says industrial hemp production will boost the state’s economy, especially manufacturing hemp bioethanol and biodiesel.
She also wants the state to invest in green, renewable energy and protect natural resources.

Gabel says she believes there is an opening for another republican candidate.

She says she’s been talking with Libertarians, Independents, and Democrats about registering as a Republican to vote for her.
Gabel also says she’s encouraging non-voters to get registered and support her campaign.
