A bill that would spend up to forty million dollars to expand broadband services in Nebraska was in front of a legislative committee Monday.

Ricketts says the forty million dollars could extend high speed broadband to the most rural areas of the state….

Ricketts says its better to invest in a quality network upfront…

The bill would also create a challenge process for internet providers to get grants for installing high speed broadband in their service areas.

The bill will be up for further debate later in the session.
