Nebraska Gas Tax Increase Clears Committee

The Revenue Committee of the Nebraska legislature approved a bill last week that would raise the gas tax six cents a gallon over the next four years. The sponsor of the bill, Senator Joe Smith of Omaha, wants to use the money for upkeep of roads and bridges.
