Gas prices have risen nearly 20-cents a gallon in Nebraska over the past month. Gail Weinholzer, spokeswoman for Triple-A-Nebraska, says when the nation’s financial markets see escalating figures, gas prices quickly follow.
Weinholzer says this is normally the time of year when gas prices fall, so she expects them to remain relatively steady, for now.
Weinholzer says that price would have to drop to 40-dollars a barrel in order for gas prices to fall below two-dollars a gallon. Gas prices in Nebraska are averaging two-56 a gallon, up from two-37 a month ago.
