Nebraska Game and Parks Spreads the Word on New Mountain Lion Management Plan

Nebraska Game and Parks is spreading the word about the state’s new mountain lion management plan.
Program manager Sam Wilson says upcoming meetings will focus on its goals and the animal’s impact.

Wilson says the Pine Ridge area has about 60 mountain lions but they live in other areas too.

Wilson says the plan deals with researching the animals as well as harvesting them when appropriate.

[***All meetings will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., local time.

April 4 – Gering, Gering Civic Center, 1050 M St.
April 11 – Valentine, Cherry County Fairgrounds, 120 S. Green St.
One meeting has already been held March 22 in North Platte.]
